Named after the fame street of Barcelona, La Rambla by Catalunya is the heart of Spanish gastronomy in Hong Kong. The experience is inspired by the lively market of La Boqueria, eating good food and drinking good wines with Catalan hospitality showcasing bold flavors and colorful presentations that celebrate the spirit of the culture.
Spanning 5,000 square feet in IFC mall, La Rambla’s energetic interiors were inspired by famed artist Gaudi. La Terezza, the terrace has both dining and lounge seating overlooking Victoria Harbour and unrivalled views of Hong Kong’s skyline. La Rambla offers intimate setting with two private dining rooms but also a flexible main dining that can also open up to accommodate large events and celebrations.
Executive Chef Rafa Gil is a culinary visionary whose passion for Catalan cuisine shines through in every dish at La Rambla by Catalunya. Having spent time working in Barcelona’s top kitchens with Spain’s culinary icons, including the Adria brothers, Carles Abellan, and Santi Santa maria, Chef Gil has developed a deep appreciation for the vibrant culinary traditions of Spain.
He embarked on a journey that took him to Hong Kong as the opening Chef of the original Catalunya Hong Kong, bringing traditional Spanish cuisine with a modern flair. After a stint with Marriott Hotels in Southeast Asia, Chef Gil shot to fame by placing 4th in the award-winning Netflix series The Final Table.
Soon after, he returned to Hong Kong, Leading Nation Hospitality as Executive Chef of La Rambla by Catalunya, with the responsibility of overseeing other western concepts within the group.
